Between blogging, moming, creating and journaling, office space can get a bit chaotic. There’s nothing worse than being in the middle of a creative planning session and not being able to find a element needed for the process. So I’ve come up with a few tips to guide you in functional desk organization as well as a few essentials to help aid in the the functional and decorative process.
Since you’ll want to keep your daily essentials handy, find a centralized location on your desk where you’ll corral them. I like to keep them on the left side of my desk, because when I look up I tend to look or gaze in that direction. My office/desk decor has to reflect my personality, but I also want it to be aesthetically pleasing to the eye. To corral the essentials, consider using a decorative tray. You could also use a pretty box to store smaller items that can either sit within the tray or beside it.
Next, gather some pretty bowls or shallow dishes, they’re great for storing pens and other essentials so they’re in view and within your grasp.
These are just a few of the essentials I use to maintain some order on my desk. With this set up, you can ensure both beauty and functionality of your desktop organization.
